Participation in the Programme presupposes working on an advanced-level research project under the supervision of a JINR expert. Selected students are invited to Dubna for 6-8 weeks within the mentioned interval. At the end of their stay, they prepare a written report on the work they have done, which is posted on the Programme website.
Participation requirements:
- students from all over the world;
- specializing in JINR scientific topics.
- starting from their 4th year of undergraduate studies up to the 1st year of PhD.
- without previous experience of participation in the START programme (JINR Summer Student Programme).
Financial terms:
- Travel arrangements vary by country. Students from Russia and Belarus buy their own tickets to Dubna, which JINR reimburses with proper documentation.
- For international students, JINR either arranges travel tickets or reimburses travel expenses, provided that all required documentation is submitted upon arrival to JINR. Keep all travel records and confirm policies with the START team before booking to avoid issues. If you plan to purchase your travel tickets independently, you must first obtain approval from the START team to ensure your purchase complies with JINR’s internal regulations and cost limitations.
- Daily allowance of 2000 rubles per day.
- Visa expenses are later reimbursed by JINR upon submission of all required documents.
- Accommodation is booked and paid for by JINR.
- All documents submitted to the START team for reimbursement must be provided in either English or Russian.
